20-year-old Laura wants to file a complaint of rape against the newly appointed minister Quentin Le Bars with the presidium of a small Breton port town. However, the officials react skeptically to her accusations against the politician. Laura is not discouraged and begins to tell the story of how the assaults occurred. Flashback: After unsuccessfully trying her luck in Paris, Laura has returned to live with her father Max, a former boxing champion who lives in a small house right by the sea. Max has been working for several years as a chauffeur for the local mayor, Quentin Le Bars, whom he asks for help in finding a flat for Laura. The 48-year-old mayor promises to take care of it. Shortly afterwards, Laura has an appointment with him in his office. Even the first meeting gives Laura a queasy feeling. The mayor comes conspicuously close to her - Laura has the feeling she is being undressed by him with glances. But she takes it. He is a powerful man. Maybe that's how it's usually done. Laura likes the flat very much - and also because she has no other option, she agrees. The very next day, the high price for the mayor's favor becomes apparent: the first assault takes place. From now on, the mayor visits her regularly in her flat. Laura gets worse from day to day. At work, her condition is noticed, but no one says anything. Everyone looks the other way. Her father doesn't notice, he is busy with his upcoming comeback as a boxer. Finally, Laura's boss Hélène, a former acquaintance of Max's, hints at him. But is there a way out for father and daughter?
