Four psychopaths, Hawkes - a former prisoner of war, Sutcliff - a pyromaniac evangelist, Elster - an obese child molester and Skagg - a serial killer, escape from a psychiatric hospital when the security system fails due to a power outage. The four psychos make plans to kill their new psychiatrist and gets hold of his home address from the hospital's office. After escaping, they stop by a local mall that is being looted during the blackout and arm themselves with weapons from a sporting goods store. They leave Skagg behind after he kills an innocent bystander and head off to their new psychiatrist's house.
